Pat Curran Frozen Foods begins trading as a distributor of mainly ice cream based in Tramore, initially from a rented premises with a single chilled van, adding a home store.
Having developed a diverse portfolio of frozen and chilled products, the company marked a quarter-century in business by moving to newly built premises in Waterford, trebling capacity.
Following further plant expansion, Curran Foods launches the enterprising Express Cuisine to focus on the growth in the in-store Deli, Bakery and Forecourt ‘Food to Go’ markets.
The CF Kitchen poultry range is introduced and Donut Express is added to the company’s ownbrand mix. A new Curran Foods Outlet retail store is opened at the Northern Industrial Park site.
Granddaughter of founders Pat and Nora Curran, and daughter of long-time Managing Director Gerard, Gillian Lenihan with her husband Alan (now MD) lead us into a seventh decade.
